American lawyer, a criminal defence attorney in private practice, he previously served as a state (DeKalb County, Georgia) and federal (U.S.) prosecutor for more than 15 years. While serving as an Assistant District Attorney in DeKalb County for more than eight years, he prosecuted the most serious of offences, including rape, murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft. For two years, he served as Chief of the Crimes Against Children Unit, where he prosecuted child sexual and physical abuse cases, including child homicide.
