Biography
French artist, a cartoonist and caricaturist whose work appeared in French publications. She focused on women and women's issues in her work. Her creations included Les Frustrés and the unimpressed teenager Agrippine. In 2001 French television showed her series Agrippine.
Her second marriage was to the jurist Guy Carcassonne; they have a son, Martin, and she was stepmother to Guy's two children from a previous relationship. Claire Bretécher died on 10 February 2020 at age 79.
