Biography

French naturalist, veterinarian, and teacher who played an important role in the protection of nature in France.

He was professor of anatomy at the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse (1920-1926), then at the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort (1926-1957) and director of this School for twenty-four years (1934-1957).

He died on 31 January 1979, aged 91, in Toulouse.
