Biography
French physician who was a long-time friend and housemate of the artist Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. For six years from March 1887 they shared a Parisian apartment in a building with René Grenier and Edgas Degas as neighbours. Toulouse-Lautrec painted his portrait in 1891, exhibited at the 'Pavillon de la Ville de Paris' in March that year.
Bourges suffered from tuberculosis, dying in Arcachon at 8 AM on 8 December 1942.
