Biography
French physicist, known for his work on optics, who was Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of Dijon from 1843, and the dean in 1873. He was a correspondent of the Academy of Sciences and a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. He died on 28 January 1882, aged 73, in Dijon.
