Biography
Brazilian poet, journalist and critic, an acclaimed poet and chief member of a group related to the French Parnassians. Bilac’s works, including "Poesias," 1888 and "Tarde," 1919, were filled with a sensual richness and elegant style.
Bilac lived and died (1918) in Rio de Janeiro.
