Biography
Norwegian Jewish physician, psychiatrist, and victim of the Holocaust.
In the the four volume work "Våre Falne [Our Fallen] 1939-1945," commissioned by the Norwegian government in 1945 to commemorate those who had perished during the war, Bernstein's entry is in Volume 1, p. 263.
Bernstein was arrested as part of the Holocaust and put in the Grini detention camp before being deported to Germany in December 1942 where he died.
