Biography
French philosopher and Chief Rabbi of France (June 2008-April 2013), born in an alsacian and jewish family. He took clearly position against the gay marriage. On 2nd April 2013, he acknowledged that his book "Quarante méditations juives" contains several instance of plagiarism and that he used a ghostwriter for preparing it, and moreover to have lied about his status: he pretended he obtained the prestigious diploma of "Agrégé de Philosophie" but he never got this title. For all these reasons, he resigned on 11 April 2013 although he was elected for seven years. On 22 Jube 2014, Haîm Korsia (27 september 1963, Lyon), is named as new Chief Rabbi.
