Biography
American military careerist, he rose to the rank of Major General in the Air Force. He saw combat during WWII in the Pacific and took on increasingly high level administrative jobs after that.
In February 1962 he was named commander of the Air Force Communications Service and served in that post until his retirement from the service on July 1, 1965. He and his wife had two children.
Bergquist died on 4 August 1993, aged 80.
