Biography
Belgian lawyer and magistrate who served as the first president of the Court of Cassation (supreme court of the Belgian judiciary) from 1893 to 1899. He married and had three children. At the announcement of his death, on the morning of 17 March 1902, the hearing in the 2nd chamber of the Court of Cassation was adjourned as a sign of mourning.
