American journalist, a former staff writer for LIFE magazine, who has written for many publications, including The New York Times, Harper's, Lear's and Cosmopolitan. She was assistant editor of LIFE in the early 1970s. She is the daughter of screenwriter and novelist Eleanor Perry.
