Biography
French member of the resistance in World War II.
He was an artillery lieutenant in 1940 and received the Croix de Guerre for his participation in the Battle of France. After the French defeat, he resigned.
He then worked as an engineer in electrical construction workshops in Villeurbanne. In parallel, he was a commander in regular contact with the secret army.
In March 1944, he was wanted by the French police and escaped, going underground. However, he was stopped at Perrache on 6 July 1944 by the Gestapo. He was imprisoned in Lyon and tortured by the Germans under the command of Klaus Barbie. He was executed on 11 July 1944.
