Polish biologist. In the scientific work he dealt with the genetics of development, the theory of heredity and cytology animals. His research on inheritance became at that time the foundations of the knowledge of science. Explained the issue of sex determination and phenomena in the process of meiotic cell division. He was offered the professorship of one of college English. He was also reported as a candidate for the Nobel Prize.

He died 17 September 1939.
