Norwegian resistance fighter and second lieutenant of Kompani Linge during World War II. In Norway he received the St. Olav's medal with Oak Branch, and in Britain he was appointed honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire.
Baalsrud died on 30 December 1988. He was 71.
Viktor E. quotes certificate of live birth in hand. The third digit of the handwritten time is a little difficult to read (it looks like a 4, i.e. 10:45); the midwife records (photograph also on file) has "10 ¾ FM [formiddag (before midday)]," which should confirm the time.
