Biography
Chilean painter and first lady to be the wife of President Carlos Davila in 1932. From her childhood she was interested in art, especially in painting, being a disciple of Fernando Alvarez de Sotomayor and Pablo Burchard. In 1927, she traveled to Europe, visiting countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, among others. In 1929, she married Carlos Davila, a journalist, ambassador and the president of Chile in 1932.
Herminia Arrate died on 12 March 1941.
