Achilles Andreae


German geologist and paleontologist whose books include Beitrag zur Kenntniss des Elsässer Tertiärs (1883-1884) and Über die künstliche Nachahmung des Geysirphänomens (1893).

He was a Professor lecturing in paleontology and geology in Heidelberg and director of the Roemer Museum in Hildesheim where he created scientific guides through the collections.

He died on 17 January 1905 in Hildesheim, aged 45.
