Biography
Croatia-born royalty, a popular ruler from 8/16/1921; keen mind, a great reader and student and knowledgeable in foreign affairs. Married in 1922, he was the father of King Peter II.
He was assassinated by Croatian separatists while on a diplomatic visit to Marseille, France on 9 October 1934.

Kralj Aleksandar I Karadjordjevic u ratu i miru), author Milorad Pavlovic Krpa. She adds, "The author knew the king personaly, and spent lots of time with him."
