Accident: Surfside condominium building collapse (Aftermath of the partial collapse of Champlain Towers South)

Biography

American disaster that occurred when Champlain Towers South, a 12-story beachfront condominium built in 1981 in the Miami suburb of Surfside, Florida, partially collapsed. At least five people died and eleven others were injured. About 35 people have been rescued from the uncollapsed portion of the building, two people have been rescued from the rubble, and 156 people remain missing as rescue operations continue.
