			Then, in 1958, an article by Donald A. Bradley appeared: "What's Ahead for the World?" in American Astrology Digest 1958, dated autumn 1957. This article also contained a hand-drawn world map with all rising and setting lines as well as culminations for the time of the sidereal solar ingress into Capricorn in January. In 1958, Bradley published the first astrological world map in the English-speaking world. It is unknown whether and to what extent he drew upon or built upon Schwickert's preliminary work. 			In the 1970s, Jim Lewis took up Bradley's research findings and developed the method into the form it is known today. He is the one who became known and famous as the developer of astrocartography—which he called AstroCartoGraphy—and received numerous awards for his work. His merit lies in having discovered that in [[individual astrology]] a change of location can also mean a change in the effects of the birth chart according to the astrological conditions at the time of his birth at the new location, which - astrologically speaking - may also result in a different fate.

			To avoid silly trademark disputes, for its free computer services or previously sold hardcopy drawings, Astrodienst has, since 1981, called its corresponding maps "Astromaps" ("Astrolandkarten" in German).
