>Astrodienst AG está ubicada en Zollikon cerca de Zürich, en una romántica Villa próxima al lago de Zürich. Un equipo de ocho personas muy trabajadoras maneja el servicio diario y el desarrollo de nuevos proyectos, junto con algunos socios externos.

El Doctor en física (PhD), Alois Treindl, fundador de Astrodienst, tuvo una visión: combinar la moderna tecnología de software de los laboratorios de investigación de Artificial Intelligence (Inteligencia Artificial) con el arte de la lectura del horóscopo de los mejores astrólogos del mundo. Él fue capaz de captar a Liz Greene, la mundialmente famosa astróloga y analista Junguiana, con sus ideas. Juntos crearon en los años 1985 a 1987 el Análisis Psicológico del Horóscopo. Este definió un nuevo estándar de horóscopos por computación nunca alcanzado por competidor alguno.
Hoy existen ocho informes astrológicos distintos bajo la marca ASTRO*INTELLIGENCE en nueve idiomas. Liz Greene continúa siendo nuestra autora más importante; también ofrecemos informes de Robert Hand cuyas interpretaciones de tránsitos son un clásico, al igual que las de la astróloga alemana Mona Riegger.
Recientemente se agregó una línea de AstroText de informes con precios económicos. Alrededor de cuarenta socios con licencia en veinte países utilizan nuestro software para producir y vender los informes de ASTRO*INTELLIGENCE de manera independiente.
Ahora la Internet se ha convertido en el medio predominante de comunicación. Nuestro sitio de la red www.astro.com es famoso por la calidad de sus cartas gratuitas, su horóscopo diario personal y el libre acceso a una base de datos de 250.000 ciudades y la información de todas las zonas de tiempo. Seis millones de visitantes los utilizan diariamente. Actualmente, la mayor parte de nuestros esfuerzos de desarrollo están enfocados en la red - tenemos grandes planes. ¡Manténgase en contacto!

History of Astrodienst

1. June 1979:

   Alois Treindl, graduate student, buys his first astrology book: Horoskope selbst gestellt by Ursula Lewis.

2. July 1979:

   Alois Treindl, graduate student, writes his first astrology program, calculating planetary postions and drawing charts, on his lab computer at ETH Zürich, an HP 9845B.

3. January 1980:

   Alois Treindl, starts selling color charts and calls this service Astrodienst Zürich.

4. June 1981:

   Alois Treindl completes his PhD in Physics and buys his first computer, a HP 9826A. He sticks with HP machines until 2003.

5. October 1983:

   Astrodienst AG incorporated.

6. Autumn 1985:

   Astrodienst moves to Unix, the HP-UX variant, a year after it was released. Alois Treindl starts working with Liz Greene.

7. October 1985:

   Astrodienst ports the Prolog interpreter developed by an ETH student to the HP/9000 series. Alois Treindl uses Prolog for expert system modeling of astrological rules and concepts.

8. March 1987:

   Psychological Horoscope Analysis, by Liz Greene.

9. November 1987:

   First software license sold to the USA.

10. September 1989:

    Transits of the Year, by Robert Hand.

11. May 1992:

    Relationship Horoscope, by Liz Greene.

12. November 1993:

    Child's Horoscope, by Liz Greene.

13. November 1993:

    Personal Horoscope Calendar, by Robert Hand.

14. August 1996:

    Website www.astro.ch goes online.

15. November 1996:

    Yearly Horoscope Analysis, by Liz Greene.

16. November 1997:

    Horoscope for Two, by Mona Riegger.

17. 1998:

    Astrodienst purchases the domain name astro.com for $4000, from a Las Vegas company which ran websites for night clubs.

18. January 1999:

    Horoscope 2000 / Long Term Perspectives, by Liz Greene.

19. August 1999:

    Free Personal Daily Horoscopes on website.

20. September 1999:

    Astrodienst acquires Astral Research and publishes AstroText reports.

21. December 1999:

    Astrodienst relocates a web server to the USA with increased bandwidth.
