Albategnius

The Albategnius house system divides the celestial sphere above and below the celestial equators in strips with the height of 1/3 and 2/3 of the geographic latitude. It then considers the intersection of these latitude lines with the Prime Vertical. At the intersection points it erects great circles that run through the North point and South point. The places where these great circles intersect the zodiac make up the Albategnius house cusps.

The Campanus system divides space and is therefore considered a space-oriented house system.

The house system is named after the Italian mathematician Campanus of Novara (1220-1296).
