Ebertin's Life Diagram, Solar Arc DirectionsSolar arc directions for 30 years, coloured drawing, data pages of tables for all kinds of events (PDF). The Solar Arc Direction, similar to progression, is based on the idea that there is a symbolic analogy of 1 year = 1 day in the life of a person. The age of the native is calculated in years, and then multiplied by the mean daily motion of the Sun. The result is added to all planets, axes and houses. The solar arc chart can, like a transit chart, be interpreted in relation to the natal chart (synastry). The mean daily motion of the Sun (the so-called 'Naibod key') is 0.98564733°. In an Ebertin Life Diagram the natal positions of the planets are drawn as horizontal lines into a Graphical Ephemeris of the progressed planets. Progressions take place where the lines of the natal planets intersect with the lines of the moving planets. In a Graphical 45° Ephemeris the zodiac is divided into eight segments of 45° each. These are drawn on top of each other. The 45° system shows all aspects that are multiples of 45° as intersection points of the trajectories, namely conjunctions, oppositions, squares, semi-squares (45°) and sesquisquares (135°). All progressions are marked with a particular aspect symbol in the graphic. The additional tables contain the exact dates of the progressions, also of trine or sextile aspects which are not directly visible in a 45° graphic ephemeris. |
