Chain of Dispositors
A method developed by the German astrologer Thomas Ring to schematically illustrate the relationship of hierarchy between planets in a horoscope. A planet's dispositor (the planet ruling the sign in which a particular planet is placed) is shown with an arrow pointing in the direction of this planet, and this planet in turn has an arrow pointing in the direction of any planet placed in the sign it rules and so on.
A planet in its own sign is always placed at the beginning of a branch.
Planets in reception have arrows pointing towards each other.
