Bob Welch

American guitarist, singer and songwriter with Fleetwood Mac from April 1971 to December 1974.

Despite recording five albums with the group, he was snubbed when members of earlier and later incarnations of the group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

He committed suicide by a gunshot to the chest at his home in Antioch, Tennessee at 12:15 p.m. on 7 June 2012. He had injured his spine three months earlier, and claimed in his suicide note that he did not want to live as an invalid.
