French anti-nuclear and environmental activist, a conscientious objector who led the campaign "Superphénix and the bomb" in 1984. In 1991 he was hired by Greenpeace-France as a French campaigner against nuclear testing, and in 1992 he was shipped to French Polynesia aboard the Rainbow Warrior II. He led an action aboard the Akatsuki Maru in 1993 against Cherbourg sending plutonium to Japan and against the shipment of nuclear waste to Japan in 1995. In the same year he redid two trips in the Pacific on the same boat for the campaign against French nuclear testing.
