French actress, writer and director, also an amateur painter.

Her mother came from Italy and married a Frenchman who left the family.

She obtained her first great success in Germany, in 1997 (Lola Award for best actress).

Best known for her performances in "Stupeurs et Tremblements", a movie from the novel of Amelie Nothomb, "La Vie en Rose" where she played Momone (Edith Piaf's best friend), and "Francoise Sagan": in this biopic, she portrayed the famous writer.
