Biography
Dutch astrologer who published under the name of "Libra;" the author of "Astrology and Ethics," a book that was well-known and translated in other languages. Takens' primary vocation was that of a veterinarian doctor for horses, and he was also a painter.
He was a member of St Lucas in Amsterdam. He lived and worked in Haren, Den Haag, Cairo, Egypt (1908-9), North America (1909) and Lugano, Italy (-1918)
