Norwegian wine connoisseur who for more than 25 years was purchasing manager at Vinmonopolet ("The Wine Monopoly"), the government-owned alcoholic beverage retailer and the only company allowed to sell beverages containing an alcohol content higher than 4.75% in Norway. He also wrote the book "Vin og brennevin" ('Wine and spirits'), which can be considered a classic in Norwegian wine literature.
Svensson died on 21 June 1971 in Oslo, Norway. He was 65.
