Stijn Streuvels (portrait by by Modest Huys)


Belgian-Flemish short story writer and novelist, the most popular writer of his day in Flanders, enjoying an outstanding reputation. He was formerly a pastry chef.

Streuvels died on 15 August 1969 in Ingooigem, Belgium.
