Biography

Norwegian Jewish victim of the Holocaust.

In the the four volume work "Våre Falne [Our Fallen] 1939-1945," commissioned by the Norwegian government in 1945 to commemorate those who had perished during the war, Harry's entry is in Volume 4, p. 210.

Steinmann was gassed to death in Birkenau in January 1943, aged 22 or 23, after he had suffered an accident while working. His brother Samuel survived.
