Venezuelan quintuplets born to a 39-year-old father, an oil field worker, and a 34-year-old mother, Ines Maria Cuervo de Prieto. They were named after five of the doctors assisting their birth. Ines Maria already had five younger children by a previous marriage, one of whom, a 17-year-old daughter, had already made her a grandmother. The father, Efren, had ten children by two previous marriages. The parents were married 17 hours after the quints were born. They had twin daughters born on 14 January 1965.
