Clara Petacci

Italian news figure, famed as the mistress of Benito Mussolini. From 1936, when she was 24, she was Mussolini's mistress until the time of their deaths together in 1945. In spite of Mussolini's notorious appetite for woman, Petacci became his most noted companion and she seemed to have great influence over him.

After his fall from power in 1943, they moved into Northern Italy and when captured she asked to die with him. They were both shot 4/28/1945 and their bodies were hung by the heels in a public square.
