French dental surgeon, well-known and based in Paris, who was named dentist to the King of Bavaria.

One of the first illustrations of a toothbrush was included in his 1818 tract "Le Dentiste des Dames (The Women's Dentist)."

He died on 22 February 1834 in Maisons-Alfort, aged 51.
