French track and field athlete, European champion in the 100 and 200 metre races, he holds the French record for the 100m, with a finish time of 9.97 seconds (first Caucasian under 10 sec). European champion (100m, 200m, and relay), he won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics with the 4X100m French relay (Vicaut, Pognon, Pessonneaux, and Lemaître). He won a bronze medal in the 200m at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
