German physician mainly concerned with orthopedic surgery, who designed an orthopedic surgical table. From 1920 to 1931 he was assistant physician at the surgical university hospital in Leipzig. From 1931 to 1941 he was chief physician of the Surgical Department of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Leipzig. In 1926 he married Anna Köhler. He died on 20 December 1941 in Leipzig, aged 51.
