Jean-Pierre Knepper

Luxembourg architect and amateur historian who was one of the founding members of the Cercle artistique de Luxembourg (CAL).

From 1878 to 1921 he was the district architect in Diekirch. In these 43 years he designed at least 75 churches and chapels, including those of Rumelange and Hamm.

He also wrote and published books, for example, about archaeology in Berbourg, the origins of the Veianer castle, and wooden ceilings in churches, etc.

He died on 27 July 1929, aged 78.
