French cardiovascular surgeon who led the cardiac surgery department at the Cantini Hospital in Marseille where he developed with his team, congenital heart surgery, valvular surgery and coronary surgery. On 27 November 1968 the cardiac transplantation on Emmanuel Vitria was a success. His patient lived close to 19 years after this transplant.

Henry died of a heart attack in Marseille on 3 June 1972, less than four years after performing surgery on his famous patient.
