American actor, popular as the handsome and sexy surgeon Gonzo Gates for seven years on the hit TV series "Trapper John, M.D.," 1979-86. In 1989 he moved into the series "Falcon Crest," working for $60,000 an episode.

Harrison married Randi Oaks in 1980; they had four kids. After six years of hiding his drug use from everyone, including his wife, in August 1987 he entered into rehab at the Betty Ford Center. Oaks had filed for divorce when she found the extent of his use of drugs and alcohol and his daughters were afraid of him. In an interview in late 1989, he said that he had gone through $700,000 worth of cocaine and was now working with the Industry's Referral and Assistance Center.
