French Alpine skier, he was not supposed to become a champion because he had a double discal hernia when he was 11. However, he earned a bronze medal for the slalom at the 2007 World championship. He skiied in the 2006 winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, participating in the slalom and men's combined races but came home without a medal. Then he was double gold medalist (slalom) at the 2011 and 2015 World championships.
