Source Notes

Sy Scholfield quotes him in "An Anthology of Concrete Poetry" by Emmett Williams (Something Else Press, 1967), p. 333: "As for the 'bio-bibliographical' notes you request: I was born at 8 pm (I was told) September 8 (Virgo), 1921, and acquired gray hair sooner than some. I was born in Gleiwitz, Germany, or Gliwice, Poland, in the province of Upper Silesia."
