Max von Eyth


German engineer and writer.

In 1862 he joined the English steam plow factory Fowler in Leeds and took over the diplomatic mission of steam plows. In his many trips and long stays abroad, including in Egypt and in the United States , he campaigned for the introduction of steam-engine driven plows in agriculture . Eyth was involved also in the construction of the cable shipping on the Rhine. In Egypt. Eyth was the chief engineer of the Egyptian prince Halim Pasha.

In 1885 Max Eyth founded the German Agricultural Society (DLG).

He died 25 August 1906 in Ulm.
