Biography

French military aviator in World War II, awarded the title of 'Compagnon de la Libération' (English: Companion of the Liberation).

Shot during a mission over Libya on 15 June 1941, his body was never found. According to sources, he was seriously wounded and captured by the Italians who sent him to a hospital in Germany, where he died of his injuries on 19 July 1941.
