French singer, sing-writer and guitarist, born to a blue-collar worker coming from Italy and to a cashier. He specialized in folk and country music, inspired by Bob Dylan. In 2012, Columbian singer Shakira covered his huge hit "Je l'aime à mourir".

His daughter Aurélie is also a singer.
