Biography
American athlete, pro basketball player in the N.B.A. from 1953 to 1960, with the Fort Wayne and Detroit Pistons and the Syracuse Nationals, he was the first player to score 2,000 in a season. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996
He died at his home in Newport Beach, CA on August 12, 2004 at age 75 after battling with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, known as Lou Gehrig's disease
