Biography

American sailor and adventurer. He and his pal, Bill Biewenga sailed their 50 ft clipper ship from San Francisco, around Cape Horn and up to Boston in 69 days, 19 hours and 44 minutes, breaking the record set in 1953 by seven days. Wilson had tried to make this sail two years prior when he capsized in a storm.
