Biography
American singer and noted family, the younger sister of Dionne Warwick. They both changed their names from the family Warrick. They grew up in a family of gospel singer with their dad the Director for Chess Records. In the early '60s, the two girls formed a gospel trio with Cissy Houston (Whitney's mom) called the "Gospelaires."
Dionne was discovered by Burt Bacharach and left the group. Dee Dee continued with a moderately successful R&B career from August 1965, reaching the Top Ten in late '66 and the summer of '70, though not as well known as Dionne. Her last R&B album to make the charts was in 1975.
