Biography
American writer, a screenwriter and the manager of the 1960’s group, "The Doors," Sugerman co-wrote, with Jerry Hopkins, a best-selling biography of Jim Morrison titled "No One Gets Out Alive."
As a student, Sugerman met his idol, Jim Morrison, and soon became the "boy Friday" for the popular band. He eventually worked his way up and took over managerial duties for the group, although he says he stayed primarily because he "lived for their next concert." He has written and edited several books about the legendary group including "The Doors: The Illustrated History," 1983 and "The Doors: The Complete Lyrics."
Sugerman died of lung cancer on January 5, 2005 in Los Angeles, CA.
