Biography

British comedian and actor, a pioneer of alternative comedy in the 1980s, appearing in TV shows like "The Young Ones", "Filthy Rich & Catflap", "Blackadder", and "Bottom". He played the poltergeist "Peeves" in the first Harry Potter movie, although all his scenes were eventually cut from the film.

On 9 April 1998, Mayall was injured after crashing his quad bike near his home in Devon, leaving him in a coma for a few days.
