Biography
American writer of short stories and novels, noted as one of America's great novelists. His work includes "The Bostonians," "The Ambassadors" and "The Golden Bowl." From a noted family, he was the brother of psychologist-author William James.
He was educated in Europe and chose to live in England; he never married. James died 2/28/1916 London, England.
