American singer, a 22-year-old R&B artist, died along with seven others when a plane flying them back from the Bahamas crashed and exploded.
The Cessna 402 went down shortly after takeoff, 8/25/2001, 6:50 PM EDT, Marsh Harbour International Airport, Abaco, Bahamas, 77 W.05, 26 N.30, leaving wreckage some 75 yards from the end of the runway. The suspected cause of the crash is the failure of one of the engines.
